Queen Makers started with a simple realization — most of the films we grow up watching are shaped through a male lens. Not intentionally, but because the industry has been built that way for years. And when the same perspective leads for so long, stories begin to feel familiar, even when they try to be different. This thought stayed with Purab Das, a 21-year-old animator and independent filmmaker from Kolkata, and slowly turned into something he wanted to build.

So Queen Makers was created around one clear idea: every film on the platform is directed by a woman. Not to exclude anyone, but to bring balance to storytelling. The teams are diverse, the collaborations are open—but the vision, the final emotional voice of each film, comes from a female director. Because when the person behind the camera changes, the way a story is told changes too.
